Sash windows or single hung, double hung windows are designed to work with a pulley and weight system. The sash window are counter balanced with sash cord, the pulleys and weights concealed in the sash window box frame. 
The sash windows and weights need to match for easy operation of the sash windows we assess sash window weights and where required can add weights for smooth sash window operation.
